In July, New System Vietnam successfully organized a series of workshops on cybersecurity system maintenance (ITMA) to provide our customers with essential information and knowledge on security and safety.
During the workshops, NSV’s engineers introduced and updated customers on potential risks that may arise during daily business operations.
In the engineers’ short sharing sessions, NSV covered several key topics, including:
Email Fraud
Email fraud continues to be a serious and ongoing concern for businesses today. Let’s take a look at the statistics shown in the table below.

Based on statistics from Kaspersky—a well-known cybersecurity company—we can see that the number of phishing attacks in the first six months of 2022 surpassed the total number recorded throughout the entire year of 2021. Notably, the number of cyberattacks in Vietnam during the first quarter of 2022 was equal to the combined total of five other countries.
Ransomware Attacks on Businesses
According to a 2021 report by hvneconomy.vn, Vietnam ranked 21st worldwide in terms of phishing attacks.
Kaspersky also found that phishing campaigns continue to target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Southeast Asia. While these businesses were still suffering the impacts of the pandemic, Kaspersky’s Anti-Phishing technology blocked a total of 2,890,825 attacks targeting SMEs in the region in 2020—an increase of 20% compared to 2,402,569 phishing attacks using malicious URLs in 2019.

Currently, Vietnam ranks second in the region in terms of the number of ransomware attacks, just behind Thailand.
How do ransomware attacks target businesses, and what preventive measures should be taken? These questions were thoroughly shared by NSV’s engineers during the on-site workshops held at our customers’ enterprises.
Once again, we would like to emphasize and remind users of the key dos and don’ts to help prevent ransomware attacks and better protect their systems.

After the workshops, customers were invited to complete a survey, and the majority of feedback was very positive regarding these sessions.

This positive feedback serves as a strong motivation for NSV to continue delivering similar short training sessions to equip our customers with essential cybersecurity knowledge.
More importantly, businesses need to proactively implement risk prevention solutions. Please contact NSV for consultation on comprehensive cybersecurity solutions tailored to your organization.
