This webinar will introduce you to Moldex3D’s solution for mesh generation. The webinar will describe the different mesh generation technologies currently available inside Moldex3D, including eDesign, tetra meshing, boundary layer meshing, and hybrid meshing. The advantages of using each method for different types of simulations will be discussed. Finally, the webinar will touch on the tools and functions used to generate and refine each type of mesh.
This webinar is designed to give potential and current eDesign users an opportunity to fully understand the software’s capacities and use it to create improved designs and molds. This will be a step by step process of showing users how to automatically generate solid mesh for an injection molded part and set up an analysis to view simulation results. Participants will gain an understanding of how the software can help identify and correct any potential part defects that could cost the designer or mold maker time and money.
Injection molding is a very complex procedure that combines part and mold designs, materials, and process conditions. Every change on each foregoing factor has a great impact on the injection molded plastics. Due to the interaction complexity of multiple molding factors, a conventional trial-and-error method has become ineffective and costly to predict and control the procedure. Therefore, Moldex3D Expert has been developed to help designers evaluate the optimal process conditions and optimize the process design in using the DOE (Design of Experiment) method. This webinar will help users to explore to features and useful of using Moldex3D DOE capabilities.
This webinar will focus on the process control, material processing, and simulation technology of compression moldings for both thermosets and thermoplastics. The goal of this webinar is to show those involved in the compression molding industry how Moldex3D can be used to optimize things like clamp force, charge orientation, weld line identification, and other problematic issues with the compression molding process.
One of the things that really set Moldex3D apart is our ability to simulate everything in the injection molding process in true 3D. This webinar will detail the importance of understanding how shear heating in your runner has a detrimental effect to a multi-cavity mold, even if it is geometrically balanced. Users will learn how Moldex3D’s unique meshing capabilities can help users to better understand what is happening in their runner during the filling processes.
In the ever evolving world of the automotive design industry companies are constantly faced with the challenge of “how do we design and produce a quality part”. Moldex3D has been used by the automotive industry to simulate everything from fiber orientation to MuCell® and this webinar will show case how using Moldex3D helps the automotive industry not only create great quality parts but how to solve problems and increase ROI.
Moldex3D is very proud to say that countless colleges and universities all over the world use Moldex3D in their curriculum and research projects. This webinar will show how educational providers have applied Moldex3D software to validate research projects and teach students in the classroom so they are best prepared for the job market after school. Moldex3D software has been applied to different engineering and polymer departments and this webinar will highlight how those departments received added value by using Moldex3D.
With the release of Moldex3D R13 there have been many requests for useful tips that can help users best utilize the software’s new features. This webinar will look to detail some of the more popular and helpful functions of R13 and show users how to best utilize the features to assist in their part and mold design.
This webinar aims to take an in-depth look at how Moldex3D works in side of PTC Creo, Dassault SolidWorks, and Siemens NX CAD software. Participants will gain a better understanding of how Moldex3D integrates with these CAD software, which gives plastic part designers the ability to quickly validate their parts geometry or detect potential problems within their familiar CAD environments.
Moldex3D offers users the capability to simulate many different processes involving gas and foaming applications. This webinar will cover different simulation capabilities that Moldex3D can do assisting customers in everything including Gas Assist, MuCell®, and Chemical EVA foaming. Users will learn what inputs are necessary to get quality results and how Moldex3D has been used in the past to get our users quality helpful results.
One of the biggest headaches to mold makers is understanding “why is this part warping like that.” Moldex3D has many tools that help users understand shrink and warp problems, along with what users need to do in order to fix them. This webinar will take a look at examples in which warp was a major problem and how through Moldex3D simulation the issues could be resolved.
This webinar will take you on a step by step tour in the Moldex3D Designer BLM, from the gate design to the final click of BLM mesh generation. Moldex3D can now perform the full analysis of flow, pack, cool and warp on the BLM models. Now the BLM mode supports a long list of our Solution Add-ons, like Fiber, Multi Component Molding, MuCell and many more.
A set of proper material parameters is equally important as having the correct CAD input to ensure the success of plastic filling simulation. Unfortunately, the importance of material testing is often overlooked and problems arise leaving doubts to the simulation results. In this webinar, we will introduce the methods and instruments currently used in the Moldex3D Material Testing Lab and how Moldex3D simulation program utilizes the information gained from the material testing to help you achieve accurate simulation results.
